Chetan Bhagat on The Man Magazine (October, 2016)

He is the personality whose opinion becomes the headline everyday. Chetan Bhagat is a well known Indian author, columnist and screenwriter. He was cited as “the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history” by The New York Times in 2008. Time magazine named him as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Now, he can be seen on the cover page of October issue of The Man Magazine.

His bestselling  English novels are Five Point Someone (2004), One Night @ the Call Center (2005), The 3 Mistakes of My Life (2008), 2 States (2009), Revolution 2020 (2011), What Young India Wants (2012) (speeches and columns), Half Girlfriend (2014) and Making India Awesome (2015).All the books have remained the best sellers since their release and the interesting part is that some of them have inspired Bollywood films and they were hit too. The movies were Hello, 3 idiots, Kai Po Che, and 2 States. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay for Kai Po Che at 59th Filmfare Award in January 2014.

Now, Chetan Bhagat will mirror the perspective of women protagonist through his upcoming book ‘One Indian Girl’. This book is written from the viewpoint of the woman and he is the female voice to discuss feminism. Every time he come up with something new and connects it with the readers through his books. For the entertainment, his last novel Half-Girlfriend is now adapted into a film of the same name starring Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be released soon in theaters.
